Golf Adventures Unlimited started golf tour operations as Hawaiian Islands Golf Tours in 1991. Obviously from the name we specialised in Hawaii and became THE specialists in golf on these fabulous islands.

In 1994 we decided to expand and set up tours to NSW, Victoria and Queensland as well as the United States. The name Hawaiian Islands Golf Tours did not seem suitable for someone wanting to go to Port Stephens, the Gold Coast, Palm Springs or Las Vegas - so Horizons Sports was born.

In 1995 after a visit to South Africa we started developing itineraries for that country and spent some time becoming familiar with the areas we proposed to visit. Our Southern African golf safaris commenced in 1997 and continue to be our most popular tours. As these tours grew we found it necessary to use the services of a local company to coordinate the ground arrangements on our behalf. We now work with African Pride Tours for all our African tours and local agents in China, Vietnam and the UK.

China and Vietnam have also become very popular.

Due to the popularity of our South African Tours we decided to cancel all Australian tours and concentrate our efforts on the international tours. And have continued to expand our intineraries to include Thailand, Vietnam, China and Sabah as well as South Africa.

In 2004 another name change to Golf Adventures Unlimited mainly due to the inconvenience of being constantly confused with Horizons Golf Club in Port Stephens.

Golf Adventures Unlimited is constantly updating destinations, adding new ones as they become accessible (China) and sadly, removing those that are no longer as exciting as they once were.
