Golf Tours & Holidays • South Africa • China • UK • Argentina • Vietnam
Our hosted golf tours & holidays have a concept that is different to our competitors. The following is the basis of our operations:

We KNOW the destination from personal experience, it's best courses, local attractions and best value accommodation. We also work in conjunction with local operators to keep ahead of changes or conditions.

Although these are essentially golfing holidays we now offer non-golfing itineraries to coincide with the golfers itinerary, this allows a non-golfing partner to join the tour and have an equally enjoyable time (at a reduced price).

Generally we do not include flights in our costs as they are constantly changing. For your convenience we can, however, arrange your flight bookings at competitive prices, once the tour is booked.

Most of your travel requirements are included in the tour cost. We are not in favour of presenting a really low cost which you find includes only the basics then spend a fortune for all the ‘extras’ whilst on tour. Transport, accommodation, meals as specified, golf fees, taxes, park entry fees, guides and hosts, trophies and a souvenir golf shirt are included as part of the tour. With us your extras are restricted to a minimum, some meals, drinks, souvenirs and other personal expenses.

South Africa is not a country you would visit just for the golf. Although the golf is as good as it gets, there are so many other attractions, we try to offer a broad scope so you can enjoy the best of it.

Our other tours to China, Vietnam & the UK are in conjunction with specialists in each country. We have chosen them as our travel partners because of their reputation and quality service as well as their local knowledge.

MANAGING DIRECTOR of GOLF ADVENTURES UNLIMITED:
Bob Gill

Hi,

I was born in Canberra the only child of Scottish/New Zealand parents. My Dad said he saw me and said he couldn't handle another, so one it was. ( I reckon he couldn't improve so stopped while he was in front!) We moved to Sydney in the early 40's and I grew up in Bondi, spending a good part of that time on the beach.

Thru the 50's and 60's I was very active in sports generally, playing grade Oz Rules, rugby league and towards the end of my footy career I switched to rugby with Easts after having a rugby season with Club 1880 in Frankfurt,Germany. Thru the summers I was active with North Bondi Surf Club.

In 1960 I went to Europe and enjoyed a wandering existance for three years spending most of my time in France, Germany and England. That interesting period of my life whetted my appetite for travel and snow skiing. Golf wasn't even on the horizon.

Returning to Sydney in 1963 I started my own building business in the Eastern Suburbs and operated that till 1982. Married Deniece (Dee) in 1965 and three great children followed.

In 1983 I opened and managed a gym, The Physical Factory, in Mosman. After selling the gym I took up golf in 1992 for the first time and joined Cammeray Golf Club. Hcp 18. About 12 months later my wife and I went to Hawaii for a holiday and I knew then what I was going to do next......take people on holidays to great golfing destinations.

We moved to Northern Beaches in 1997 and with a handicap of 12 I switched to Wakehurst Golf Club. Struggling there on a handicap of 15. Didn't get much better over the following 10 years did I? As a new member of Neslon Bay GC I hope to get back down to a more respectable 12 again... but then that's the power of golf isn't it?

The safaris to Southern Africa began in 1997 and I started by doing everything; the booking, driving and total organisation. In 2000 we began using Golf Adventures International (Johannesburg) to do all of our reservations/driving and I just went along as a guide and golf organiser. After and average of 2 trips a year & more than 50 game drives I know the place pretty well and am now able to use that experience to help make the tours enjoyable and efficient.

Late 2003 we moved further north to Nelson Bay. Dee has now joined the operation and I'm sure her input will help make us even more professional.

Well; that's me. I hope you can join us on one of our Golf Safaris soon. As host it will be my job to help make your tour an exciting, enjoyable and memorable experience. It will be your job to relax and enjoy yourself !

If you would like to meet me before making a decision please give me a buzz on (02) 4982 7188 and we'll have a coffee at a convenient location to discuss your tour. My shout.

I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers
Bob Gill
